Girls' Night (with Spirits)

Wine, Snacks, Deadly Secrets, and Sacred Truths

Rey, a Black millennial woman has a problem: her house has been taken over by a ghost with a strange obsession with her bathroom. Enter paranormal expert, the eccentric Estelle, who comes promising that a little wine, chocolate, and girl talk will help relieve the tension. But Estelle has secrets, the spirit is a mystery, and Rey struggles with a shameful secret as her house and herself begin to fall apart.

Of Girls’ Night (with Spirits), Teshonne says, “The story will carry themes like sisterhood, empowerment, and finding one’s strength to solve her own problems by centering herself. For me, this play and the characters therein are integral to exploring the mental and emotional issues Black women face within themselves. I want to explore what’s truly possible for Black women through elements of magic, the supernatural, and the future.”

Girls’ Night (with Spirits) will be available to stream “on demand” starting Friday, October 15, through Friday, November 5, 2021. Tickets are on sale now!
